POSITION | JORDAN Head Baker | VVIP Private Estate LOCATION Amman, Jordan Private Estate The client will apply for the work visa and provide relocation if not local. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Head Baker to lead and develop a premium bakery program within a luxury private estate environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing exceptional artisan breads, viennoiserie, luxury bakery products, and bespoke bakery creations while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, presentation, and discretion. This position requires strong leadership, creativity, technical expertise, and the ability to cater to the unique preferences and dietary requirements of the Principal, family members, and guests. QUALIFICATIONS Formal qualification in Baking, Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or Hospitality preferred Food Safety and Hygiene certification highly regarded Fluent English, spoken and written Additional artisan bread or specialty baking certifications advantageous EXPERIENCE & SKILLS Minimum 8-10 years of professional baking experience Minimum 3-5 years in a Head Baker or senior bakery leadership role Previous experience in private households, royal households, family estates, or VIP residences highly regarded Proven experience in luxury hotels, ultra-luxury resorts, or renowned artisan bakeries Advanced expertise in artisan bread production, including naturally leavened sourdough breads, European artisan breads, country loaves, specialty grains, ciabatta, baguettes, focaccia, rye, multigrain, and whole wheat breads Extensive knowledge of fermentation management, sourdough culture maintenance, dough hydration, and baking science Advanced skills in viennoiserie production, including croissants, pain au chocolat, Danish pastries, brioche, kouign-amann, cinnamon rolls, and laminated dough products Experience producing gourmet sandwich breads, burger buns, milk breads, breakfast breads, tea pastries, and bespoke bakery products Strong knowledge of European, Asian, and Middle Eastern bakery traditions Experience creating gluten-free, vegan, reduced-sugar, health-focused, and high-protein bakery products Ability to develop signature bakery concepts, seasonal menus, and innovative bakery offerings Strong leadership, mentoring, and staff development skills Excellent organisational and time management abilities High standards of hygiene, food safety, and quality control ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and manage all bakery operations within the estate Produce artisan breads, viennoiserie, luxury bakery products, and specialty baked goods to the highest standards Develop and maintain sourdough cultures and fermentation programs Create seasonal bakery menus, signature products, and bespoke bakery concepts Adapt products to family preferences, dietary requirements, and special requests Produce gluten-free, vegan, wellness-focused, and specialty bakery items as required Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards across all bakery products Supervise, train, mentor, and develop junior bakery staff Manage bakery production schedules and inventory requirements Source and maintain premium-quality ingredients and bakery supplies Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards Stay current with international bakery trends, techniques, and innovations Support special events, celebrations, and VIP functions as required Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient bakery operation at all times SALARY Negotiable depending on experience.
